Hagalil, the New Jersey region of USY, USCJ’s Youth Movement, offers high school students the opportunity to immerse themselves in various Jewish and social activities while forming friendships that will last a lifetime. For decades, Hagalil has been a space for Jewish teens to become more actively involved with their Judaism and create meaningful relationships with their peers.
As a youth-led organization, USYers have the opportunity to become peer leaders, developing skills that will help them in high school and beyond. Our Regional Executive Board and Regional General Board composed of USYers, along with our Regional staff, create the beloved regional programming across New Jersey.
Regionally, USYers enjoy and grow religiously through our numerous conventions, week-long summer encampment, dances, special interest programs, and so much more. In between regional programs, synagogue-based chapters provide smaller scale, but just as engaging programming.
Hagalil is proud to be one of 15 regions making up international USY. Many Hagalil USYers may take advantage of USY’s unforgettable summer programs across North America, Israel, and Europe, as well as the annual International Convention.
