Social Action/Tikun Olam VP

Hey Hagalil!!! I am Micah Zev Lubow and I am your 2012-2013 Regional Social Action/Tikun Olam Vice President!! I was born in on October 16^th 1995 in Winnipeg, which is the capital of Manitoba, Canada. Since then I have moved 3 times with my parents, big sister and 2 dogs, Windsor and Ginger. I currently live in Springfield New Jersey. This year, I will be a senior at Golda Och Academy.

One of the things I take great pride in is that I never seem to procrastinate. Whenever I have something to do, it is most likely taken care of within hours of getting it. It is a blessing and a curse because I always seem to have a lot of time on my hands. Some of things I do in addition to USY are Boy Scouts (will probably be an Eagle Scout by my next birthday), being the editor in chief of my school yearbook, play volleyball, watch How I Met Your Mother, listen to music and of course visit/talk with my friends. In addition to all of this, every Sunday I work at Temple Neve Shalom’s Religious School, and during the summer I work at The “Y” camps of Union.

Even though I like to do all of these things, USY and Kadima have been my #1 priority over the past 6 years. Throughout my years in Kadima and then my first year in Hagalil I was a proud member of the awesome Cranford chapter but at the beginning of my sophomore year I moved and changed to the amazing Metuchen chapter.  I have never missed a Regional USY or Kadima event in my entire Hagalil carrier. I have also served as Freshman Rep and SATO VP on my chapter boards, along with two years on SATO Regional General Board. Lastly I also went on the most amazing USY on Wheels bus in the world, BUS A 2010!!!

I cant wait for what I know is going to be a legen…wait for it… dary (How I Met Your Mother reference) year for Hagalil. I definitely want to get to know as many people as I can so if you ever want to talk feel free to call me, text me, facebook message me, or even send me a nice handwritten letter whenever.
