Membership/Programming VP

HEY HAGALIL! I am Jason Shindler, and I am insanely excited to serve as your Membership/Programming VP for 2012-2013!  Things you should know about me, I LOVE ELMO and I love to draw (specifically cartoon characters), but most importantly I LOVE USY! I have been in HaGalil since I was a wee boy in sixth grade as a Kadimanik. But this is my story: I was born on June 11, 1996 and have lived in East Brunswick all my life. I have gone to public school all my life, and will be a junior this year! I have an older sister, Sarah, who is now graduating high school and will be more than 6 hours away from me… there goes my ride to school! .  Though we fight a lot, we are still buds!

My life is quite simple: I eat, sleep, go to USY, and watch How I Met Your Mother, quite possibly the best show to ever air on television! USY has been a huge part of my life, I have met my closest friends, and some of the people that impact my life the most. Some things you may not know about me is that I have the most awesome black ball of fur inhabiting my house, we call him Riley. He is my best friend and the best little labradoodle I could ever ask for. If you ever walked into my room, you would be able to tell how much I like drawing because my walls are covered in my artwork and outlines of cartoon characters I have drawn on! WOO! My favorite food is Charoset. Yeah I know, it sounds werid, but when it comes to Charoset, it is more than just a seder plate garnish– it is an all-year-round snack! My past USY experience consists of Freshman Representative for my chapter, North/South Brunswick, as well as Membership/Programming VP last year.

I couldn’t be more excited to work with everyone this year and take HaGalil to A WHOLE NEW LEVEL! I will do my best to make sure all of you love USY more than ever! I don’t really do much over the summers so feel free to “hit me up” as all the hip youngsters say these days! I am always willing to make some new friends, and I cannot wait to have the best year of my life!
