What’s going on Hagalil!
I’m Shelly Tsirulik and I’m thrilled to serve as the Membership/Programming Vice President of Hagalil! I come from West Orange, NJ, and am proud to come from the amazing West Orange USY chapter! I attended Solomon Schechter (Golda Och Academy, but none of us actually call it that) through 8th grade, at which time I switched to Montclair Kimberley Academy. In the summers I trek up to Wingdale, NY, where I play on the ultimate frisbee team for Camp Ramah in the Berkshires. I live with my rocking twin, Ethan, and the best parents on this planet.
I’m a big fan of all sports, and Chicago sports teams are clearly the best. In particular, I’m a huge fan of football, both the actual game and the management side of it. When I get older I want to be the GM of a football team. Spongebob, Pokemon, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, Hebrew songs, and food round out my favorite things. I love singing and dancing, but unfortunately I haven’t been blessed with the best voice, and I’m sure most of you have seen my “dancing” at USY dances. Still, my ruach never wavers, and you’ll be sure to hear me singing and see me dancing all year long!
My first event was Freshman year LTI, and ever since I’ve been hooked on Hagalil and everything that it has to offer. From being a place where I can freely express my Judaism, to providing an amazing group of friends, to a place that I can truly call home, Hagalil really has it all.
I’m reachable by text, phone call, email, Facebook, Twitter, Skype, really anyway that you can think of, except my FaceTime doesn’t work :(. Feel free to reach out to me for help, advice, or just someone to talk to! This year is going to be amazing, and I can’t wait to rock it with you!
