Josh Cooper, Regional Religion/Education VP:

Hey Hagalil!

My name is Josh Cooper and I’m your 2008-2009 Regional Religion/Education Vice President! Since we’re going to be spending a lot of incredible time together this year I thought you might like to know just a little bit about me and my life. I was born in Boston where I lived for only a year or so. Then I moved to Aberdeen, NJ where I lived for around seven years. Since then, I have lived in the wonderful village of South Orange, New Jersey.  I am17 and the second of five brothers whose ages range from 7 to 18. I also have a dog named Laila. This year, I am going to be a senior at the Solomon Schechter Day School of Essex and Union.

I spent second semester of my sophomore year in Israel with a program called TRY, which is run with USY High, and had the best time of my life. If you have any questions about it, please come and ask me. My favorite authors are Terry Brooks and Ken Follet and my favorite ice cream flavors are generally of the berry sort. Interestingly enough, my favorite subject in school is math. Some of the things that I love are the New York Yankees, Ultimate Frisbee, Hashem, Ping Pong, the Torah, USY (as you probably guessed), and meeting new people! So please come and introduce yourself to me because I would absolutely love to meet you all! This is going to be an incredible year Hagalil, so get psyched because I know I am!!!
