Questions:
1. In 15 words or less give a personal mission statement.
2. In 50 words or less, if elected, what do you hope to accomplish as a regional officer?
3. In 50 words or less, if you could abuse your power for a day, what would you do?
Answers:
Sherman Fabes:
1. We can't only worry about attracting members, but must keep current USYers ecstatic about USY.
2. As a Hagalil officer I plan to increase membership activity on the chapter and regional level, which would then in return perk up our ruach at conventions. Also, create an even tighter bond with Israel than what we have now. As well as emphasize the Social Action in SA/TO.
3. First, I would dye Michelle Rich's hair purple for SA/TO. (And to see her reaction and it's my favorite color). Then secondly, I would give out all of USY's SA/TO money and donations to allow all of Hagalil to go to Israel for free because it is REALLY expensive.
Seffi Kogen:
- 1. To make Hagalil region thrive by raising our individual chapters to new heights.
- 2. Strength of programming, membership, and Tikun Olam donations of individual chapters will lead to a stronger, more active Hagalil. Therefore, I will encourage dialogue between chapter presidents work together to spread ideas and plan joint programs. Stronger chapters, with more active members, will lead to an even mightier Hagalil.
- 3. I would lead Hagalil on a hostile takeover of the other regions to assert the loudness of our ruach and the height of our T.O. numbers. With our regional song as our battle cry, we will prove once and for all that we are Always Hagalil (do do do…)
Raffi Mark:
-
1. Strengthen Hagalil through increased activity by more USYers on the chapter, zonal, and regional level.
2. My main goal is to create an environment in which everyone is enjoying themselves and gaining as much as possible from USY. As President I would lead the region, by example and aid other leaders in fulfilling their roles to make Hagalil as strong as it can be.
3. As an abuse of power I would mandate that every paid USYer not only come to convention, but also bring a friend. This would raise the amount of active members, even for one day, and they would then learn the love of all things USY and remain active.
